To compare the fractions:

1. 3/8 (<) 5/8

2.3/4 (>) 3/8 —> 3/4 = 3×2/4×2 = 6/8

3. 1/2 (=) 4/8 —> 1/2 = 1×4/2×4 = 4/8

4. 2/5 (<) 5/2 —> 5/2 = 2 1/2

One of the key is to find their common denominator, we can then compare them more clearly.
